Just a few comments on my knowlege about Norse Mythology...
Freya wasn't a Valkyrie, actually, she was a goddess of love, beauty, fertility, etc. As it happens, when Valkyrie's chose fallen warriors from the feild of battle, they oly took half. the other half (those who did not go to serve Hell (goddess)) went to Freya's fields of the afterlife (believe it's called folksangr). So in essence she is extremely different from a valkyrie.
Also, Loki didn't exactly see eye to eye with the other gods and goddesses. He was a trickster and a jerk frankly, tricking hod into killing Baldur. Tho i have a problem with the actual connection and references to norse mythology, I freaking love your art.
Sorry if you already knew this, i just thought i'd bring it up.
MY GOD MY GOD MY GOD MY GOD MY GOD MY GOD ( continues consecutivly for numerous hours) really you want us to critic it? your insane
okay i'll try....
kay the only thing that i can think of is that its a bit confusing what all the mecha is for- its not cluttered though, but i find it hard to identify any functions to the mecha the picture is absolutely stunning and the only thing i can find any flaw in is the same as with this pic-->[link] its a beautiful picture i just have trouble digesting it all
Very defined work. Your best... really amazed me. I wouldn't have the patience.
A couple aesthetics, perhaps meaningful touches I would have made is:
1. I would give her eyes more of a "holy entity" type look, like maybe glowing neon blue and remove her smile. Don't get me wrong, probably way out of your ideas here, but I think it'd fit the picture well.
2. Focus on the girl: I would distinguish her figure out a little more. I think the letters on the upper left take it away.. even though the way you lit the whole thing points to her body. I would accentuate the contrast just a tad more to reflect her. The shapes you chose are amazing, something I need work on...
have a nice one bro, until next time. *closes deviantart forever*
This looks really cool... My only critique would be to ask you to change the names of characters, I really dislike it when mythological figures are recycled as something totally unrelated, especially since the majority of people that see this piece will not know who Freya or Loki actually are. It's your choice though.
That's really cool. The coloring and the lighting is wonderful. You just need to work on drawing faces a bit more. Everything seems so detailed, but the face has a lacking quality that doesn't fit the rest of it, you know?
