Heimdall Battlesuit by CrazyAsian1 Heimdall Battlesuit by CrazyAsian1
The Heimdall battlesuit is used mainly for the recon and sniper applications. the suit provides basic strength, speed, and reflex enhancements and advanced hearing and vision enhancements. it is the preferred suit for Aesir snipers (Ravens) and scouts. it is light weight, but provides enough protection for practical use.

the shoulder pad functions as a personal defense shield. The Gungnir sniper rifle is a large caliber rifle that has a record distance of 2 miles. the end of the barrel contains an arrangement of magnets giving the bullet a dramatic increase in velocity and penetrating power. with such high power the rifle has multiple devices to absorb the shock and dissipate the heat.

Loki has a squad of 3 elite Ravens as part of his personal guard.

i love Norse mythology <3

enjoy

sweet design, heimdallr is my favourite of the norse gods. but why would heimdallr use a gungnir? he should have a gjallarhorn-sort of wepaon. and why would loki have ravens? he was just a jotun. odin was the god with huginn and muninn :(
slick enough idea, maybe im too picky

I actually really like this concept for a battlesuit. It's actually pretty western and buisness like in it's stylings. My only qualm would be in the barrel of the weapon - I would have made it bulkier, and possibly an extension of the main body of the weapon, which then leads into the supressor (I'm guessing it's a supressor at the end?).

thanks for the feedback. im in the process of re-designing this thing since its:
A) not a current representation of what i can do now
B) too much like the MJOLNIR armor from Halo
C) the design is too inconsistent and well.... weird.

that being said though, im glad you like it and i appreciate the comments. :)

1) I can draw stickmen...that's it. Do not dismiss your own attempts. ;)
2) Is the MJOLNIR armour the one worn by the Chief?
3) Well I can but comment on what would be potential real life flaws:

- Can the toothed topside of the weapons body
- The helmet would make putting the eye to the sniper scope difficult. A much simpler method would be an integrated range finder and targeter within the helmet itself. Either that or an integrated link between the helmet and scope.

That's the main two I can see, but the suit itself is pretty much fine.

Personally I'd always wanted to do my own battlesuit, but without the skills I can but look at other's and think "Cool concept".

mmm i see your point. im pretty much overhauling the design... suit and all. its going to reflect what ive been designing recently particularly this:
[link]

the newer design is going to be more along the lines of that guy. the integrated range finder is going to be a part of the the new design as well, but im glad you brought it to my attention since i knew it would feature in the new design although i never gave it much thought.

the rifle is also going to be scrapped. i have a new more believable design lined up.

im quite pleased with how the re-design is coming along. it should be done soon so keep posted. :)
