Here’s a more extreme case of prosthesis. The limbs have been replaced by more advanced mechanical parts than the previous example. As the prosthetics and treatments become more and more advanced the time in service to the order becomes longer.

Pfft! Prosthesis. The Church would be better off developing android soldiers of the Terminator variety. Ones who cannot disobey their programming or face deactivation. With enough strength to puncture a heretic's skull clean through with a pepperoni link.
