Tyr Combat Armor

This is the companion armor suit to the Fenris. [link]

The Tyr combat suit is the heavy assault version of the Fenris. It has vastly improved protection from small arms fire and strong defensive capabilities against larger caliber weapons and explosives. The suit provides greater strength augmentation to the user at the cost of speed a mobility. This strength can be used to carry heavier assault weapons and equipment along with supporting the weight of the suit.

It is standard for one Tyr unit per 3-4 Fenris units. Typically it is the job of the Tyr to draw fire while providing heavy weapons support for the other operatives in the squad. Its improved armor provides near impenetrable protection for the user allowing for unconventional tactics in combat. In some cases small energy shields have been applied to the suit providing mobile cover.

Ivaldi M10's are the standard weapons issued for the Tyr armor. M10's are hybrid weapons which consists of an under mounted modified version of the M5 and a Vanir M7 35mm air burst grenade launcher as the main body of the weapon. The denomination of M10 is essentially an indicator for double the firepower of the M5.
